Chord X-Ray

Hear a chord, sing a specific voice — the deepest chord hearing skill

A chord plays. The app prompts: 'Sing the 3rd' or 'Sing the 7th' or 'Sing the 5th.' You must isolate that voice from inside the chord and sing it accurately. This is what separates amateur from professional harmonic hearing.

How it works

  1. 1.
    Hear the chord
A chord (triad or 7th) plays and sustains for 3 seconds.
  2. 2.
    See the prompt
    App displays: 'Sing the [3rd/5th/7th/root]'
  3. 3.
    Isolate and sing
Without hearing the chord arpeggiated, extract the target note from the blend and sing it.
  4. 4.
    Verify
App plays just the target note so you hear if you were right, then replays the full chord highlighting the target.
