Call-and-response with an AI musical partner

The app plays a short musical phrase (the 'call'). You respond with your own phrase that complements it (the 'response'). The app evaluates whether your response is in key, rhythmically coherent, and musically conversational. This is creative ear training — using your ear to generate, not just identify.

How it works

    Hear the call
    App plays a 2-4 bar melodic phrase over a harmonic backing.
  2. 2.
    Respond
    Sing or play a response phrase that complements the call. Stay in key, maintain the groove, create musical dialogue.
  3. 3.
    Evaluation
    App analyzes: Were you in the key? Did your rhythm fit the meter? Did your contour create contrast with the call?
  4. 4.
    Hear a model response
    App plays an example 'good response' so you can compare approaches.
