Rising Intervals
Identify ascending melodic intervals within a tonal context
A key is established with a short cadence, then two ascending notes play. You identify the interval. Always in tonal context — never isolated. Start with P4, P5, P8, then add M3, m3, M2, m2, then tritone and 6ths/7ths.
How it works
- 1.Hear the keyApp plays I-IV-V-I cadence to establish tonal center.
- 2.Hear two ascending notesTwo notes play melodically (ascending). Both are diatonic to the established key.
- 3.Identify the intervalSelect from available interval buttons. At foundation level: P1, m2, M2, m3, M3, P4, P5. Additional intervals unlock with tier progression.
- 4.Sing the intervalAfter identifying, sing both notes. App verifies pitch accuracy. This step is mandatory — identification alone is insufficient.
