Melody Lift
Transcribe a simple melody by ear — the integration skill
A short melody plays (4-8 bars). You transcribe it — identifying both the pitches and the rhythm. Start with simple diatonic melodies in 4/4, progress to chromaticism and complex rhythms. This integrates all ear skills into one practice.
How it works
- 1.Listen without writingMelody plays twice. Just absorb.
- 2.Sing it from memorySing the melody back (app records for your reference).
- 3.NotateUsing the in-app notation input (simplified staff or piano roll), enter the notes and rhythms.
- 4.CompareApp plays your transcription alongside the original. Differences highlighted.
- 5.Correct and replayFix errors, listen again, repeat until accurate.
